Be a Foodie: Locavore

Situated along Brixton street, Locavore is one of the highest rated restaurants around the area of Kapitolyo. I’ve heard about it a couple of times from my friends so I was curious to try the restaurant. They serve Filipino dish with a twist.

We went on a Sunday afternoon around 2PM. The place was busy but seats were still available upon walk-in. We ordered Lechon Oyster Sisig and Sizzling Sinigang with 3 cups of rice. We also ordered a carafe of their Home Blend Iced Tea.

We were impressed by how quick they were able to serve our order. It was less than 10 minutes and felt like around 5 minutes which was really fast. Usually you’ll have to wait for about 15 minutes for a main dish to arrive. But our order was completed in less than 10 minutes.

The Sizzling Sinigang really stood out and is very much recommended. It had great flavor. You could really taste the sourness of the Sinigang. The sisig was okay but if ever we eat here again we’ll probably try a different dish instead.

I feel that their portions are a bit bigger than usual. We were a group of 3 and we weren’t able to finish our order. But we enjoyed our meal nonetheless.

Have you eaten at Locavore as well? What other dishes could you recommend? πŸ™‚
