Be a Foodie: La Spezia

La Spezia is a fairly new restaurant at the Tomas Morato area. Inspired and named after a place in Italy, La Spezia offers mainly Italian dishes.

We ordered the Saffron Risotto Con Capesante. There are not a lot of restaurants that serve risotto so I really enjoyed this dish.

We also ordered the Spaghetti Pomodoro E Basilico which is sort of a classic red sauce pasta.

For the meat we ordered the Stinco de Agnello Polenta which is ย Lamb Shank braised for 4 hours. It’s served with sort of a mashed potato type sides. The flavor is good however I wished there was more meat in it.

For dessert we ordered their Cesto di Frutta which is an Italian Pavlova. We loved this dessert. It has the right amount of sweetness and balance of all the different components. Make sure to save some room for this dessert!

We had dinner at La Spezia during a Tuesday night. The place was empty and we were the only customers which is such a shame because they have such good food and the place looks great!
