In celebration of The Nest’s 4th anniversary, Vivere showcases Strokes’ and Niccolo Cosme’s Beauty That Moves photo exhibit which features artworks exuding peace. The photo exhibit features portraits of singer and host Angel Jones, comedian KitKat, actress Kakai Bautista and Dionne Monsanto, world boxing champion Nonito Donaire Jr and his wife Rachel to name a few. All of the portraits are embedded with Augmented Reality technology that transforms the photos to peace-evoking images when viewed via a smart phone app.
As a souvenir you can purchase a postcard version of the photos displayed. The postcards also has the same AR capability as the photos in the exhibit. I bought the photo with the rose because I really loved the AR effect in this wherein you see the roses bloom and petals flowing around the frame. It costs Php 100 and all the proceeds go to peace-building activities that reach out to children in distress of war in Marawi. The exhibit will run for a week from July 28 – Aug 4.

Aside from the photo exhibit The Nest prepared a buffet for us, guests, to feast on. The following items are not available on their regular menu and is reserved for event bookings at their space.
Meatballs in Tomato Sauce & Beans
The meatballs were cooked well and had a good texture. It’s a hearty appetizer
The eggs were fluffy and it had a good egg to seafood ratio.
This appetizer combines the sweet and savory taste through the ham and dates. One of my favorites from the buffet. One of my favorites from the buffet, I probably had around seven of these. I also liked that the bread itself wasn’t too tough.
Porchetta with Grilled Herbed Vegetables
The Porchetta had a mild flavor and a herby taste. I found it a bit dry though.
Seafood Paella ❤
My friend and I really really loved the seafood paella. It’s very rich in flavor and has fresh seafood ingredients. It’s cooked al dente with a bit wet and not too mushy texture.
I loved that the sangria only had a hint of the alcohol so it’s not too bitter. It has the balance between fruity and wine taste.
Looking around the area, we also loved The Nest’s al fresco dining area. It’s the perfect place for a romantic evening It had a great view of the south’s cityscape.
